Meet Pumpkin

Unsupervised Chaos Goblin • Romeo’s largest problem• Full-time Orange Menace

Pumpkin came home alongside Pie during the household’s completely unsuccessful attempt to locate Juliet for Romeo.

Instead, we somehow acquired two orange kittens and absolutely no Shakespeare references.

Pumpkin grew into the physical embodiment of orange-cat energy.

He is enthusiastic, affectionate, deeply lovable, and appears to make nearly every decision without consulting a single survival instinct.

Unlike Pie, who prefers to quietly observe situations before participating, Pumpkin believes every activity in the household should involve him immediately and physically.

Especially if another cat looks comfortable.

Pumpkin’s favorite target is Romeo.

For reasons known only to himself, Pumpkin is absolutely obsessed with laying directly on top of Romeo. Not beside him. Not near him. Directly on him.

If Pumpkin is nearby, there is a strong possibility Romeo has temporarily lost use of at least one leg.

Remarkably, Romeo tolerates this with the exhausted patience of someone who has simply accepted their fate.

Pumpkin is also one of the most physically affectionate cats in the house. He has a habit of suddenly throwing himself backward into people’s arms or laps with complete confidence that someone will catch him.

Usually while exposing his stomach dramatically.

There is no hesitation.
There is no caution.
There is only Pumpkin deciding:
“Yes. This seems safe.”

Pumpkin and Pie are also absurdly attached to each other. If they lose visual contact for more than a few moments, one or both of them may begin wandering the house crying loudly like tiny furry Victorian widows.

Pumpkin is usually the louder participant in these emotional emergencies.

Despite being responsible for an alarming percentage of the household nonsense, Pumpkin is genuinely one of the sweetest cats in the house. He loves people, loves attention, loves snuggles, and approaches life with the confidence of a cat who has never once considered consequences.

Honestly, Pumpkin has the energy of someone who would absolutely press every button in a laboratory marked:
“DO NOT TOUCH.”
